- Install and launch Google Chrome.
- Visit Google Docs (http://docs.google.com) or Google Mail (http://mail.google.com).
- From the top-right corner, click Offline.
- For Google Docs, select Enable offline access. In Google Mail, click Next to install offline access.
- In the Google Gears dialog, select I trust this site. Allow it to use Google Gears.
- Click Allow.
- In the Create Shortcuts dialog, check all options (Desktop, Start menu, Quick launch bar).

Precondition : Google Chrome with Gears is installed and you have allowed or denied at least one Google application to be integrated with Gears
- Launch Google Chrome.
- From the Wrench menu, select Options > Change Google Gears Settings.
- Change the allow or deny setting for the application.
